Growing up in Winterport, on the banks of the Penobscot River during the early 1940s, was a wonderful and insightful experience for any youngster. Now, after many years of being away, Chuck has returned to the place he calls “home”.
During his “away” period, he received a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture and Regional Planning from the University of Massachusetts and an Equivalency degree from Syracuse University in the Russian language. Chuck has traveled, at various times, to Canada, Mexico, Italy, Greece, England and Scotland as well as having worked or lived in Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Connecticut, New York, Texas, West Virginia and Alaska. He has been the recipient of several awards and citations, including those from the Massachusetts House and Senate, the Mass. Department of Environmental Affairs and the New Hampshire Municipal Association. Being a history buff, particularly of Scottish history, Chuck participated in numerous Bicentennial events as a Company Sargeant Major in a re-created Scottish Royal Artillery unit. For approximately ten years, he participated in various historical events on behalf of the National Park Service, State and local governments and numerous civic organizations. He was also privileged to be a participant in the Silver Jubilee of Queen Elizabeth II in both Canada and the U.K. Currently, Chuck is the 2007 President of the Midcoast Board of Realtors and the Saint George Council of Realtors and a member of the Maine Association of Realtors Public Policy Committee. In addition, Chuck is an active volunteer at the Owls Head Transportation Museum; a member of the Duke of Gloucester Society of Colonial Williamsburg; researching the genealogy of his maternal grandfather; dabbling in model railroading and attempting to learn Scottish Gaelic. He also works, occasionally as a counselor and support-giver to those who are, or have recently, had cardiac by-pass surgery or some other related form of heart disease. If you are a current year-round resident who is contemplating up-sizing or down-sizing, or someone who is considering becoming a year-round, seasonal or retirement homeowner, please do not hesitate to contact Chuck and permit him help you fulfill your dreams.
